DETROIT — The smaller Northern Terminal at the Detroit Metropolitan Airport was evacuated Monday as the Transportation and Security Administration (TSA) discovered a passengers carry-on bag had looked “suspicious”, said airport spokesman Michael Conway.

The airport was evacuated for about two hours as the FBI and others ran an investigation. No explosive devise was ever found and the owner of the bag was not charged.

The airport has since reopened.

TSA claims that the evacuation was just a “precautionary measure” for public safety.
